Yen hits 2-month high in 149 zone vs. dollar on BOJ rate hike bets

The yen strengthened to around a two-month high against the U.S. dollar in the 149 range in Tokyo on Thursday, amid rising speculation that the Bank of Japan could raise its benchmark interest rate at its next policy meeting.
